Jorge Rubi proudly enters his 9th year as President of Epic Soccer Club for the 2026/27 season, continuing a lifelong commitment to the game and the community he serves. Born and raised in the Valley, Jorge began playing soccer at just four years old, developing an early passion that would evolve into a career dedicated to player development and mentorship.
With over 26 years of coaching experience in the East Valley, Jorge has worked with athletes across all levels—from beginners learning the fundamentals to high school players competing at advanced and elite levels. His ability to connect with players, foster growth, and build confidence has made a lasting impact on countless families throughout the region.
As the founder of Epic Soccer Club, Jorge established the organization with a clear and purposeful vision:
“To create a club where families can access high-quality, competitive soccer without the high costs typically associated with club programs.”
That vision continues to guide the club today through a strong developmental philosophy, experienced coaching staff, and a commitment to maintaining affordability without compromising quality.

Sean Banda brings a lifetime of soccer experience to Epic Soccer Club as a player, coach, and leader dedicated to the beautiful game. With decades of involvement in the sport, Sean is widely recognized for his leadership, energy, and unwavering commitment to developing players both on and off the field.
Prior to joining Epic Soccer Club, Sean spent 13 years with the ActivStars organization, where he coached and directed one of the program’s largest and most successful sites. Over more than a decade, he mentored players ranging from ages 5 to 15, building a program known for strong retention, consistent competitive success, and a positive, team-centered culture.
Sean attributes that success to a foundation rooted in:
- Quality coaching
- Strong parent involvement
- A positive and supportive learning environment
He emphasizes not only technical skill development, but also character, confidence, and sportsmanship. Sean firmly believes that soccer is more than just a sport—it is a family experience.
That belief is reflected in his own life. Sean is often found on the field alongside his three children, all active players, with the support of his wife, reinforcing the family-first values he brings to the club community.
Now entering his 6th year with Epic Soccer Club during the 2026/27 season, Sean continues to help shape a culture centered on:
